The move removes a major legal cloud over Powell and clears the path for President Trump’s preferred candidate — Kevin Warsh — to potentially take over the Fed Chair position when Powell’s term ends. Warsh, a former Fed governor and close Trump ally, is widely viewed as more crypto-friendly and dovish on monetary policy.
Markets are interpreting this as another positive signal for risk assets and Bitcoin-friendly policies in Washington.
