The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) — the world’s largest securities settlement organization — has announced plans to launch tokenized stock trading starting in October 2026.
The pilot will involve more than 50 major financial institutions, including JPMorgan, BlackRock, Circle, and other leading banks and asset managers. The project aims to bring traditional equities onto public blockchains, enabling 24/7 trading, instant settlement, and greater transparency.
This is one of the most significant steps yet in bridging traditional finance with blockchain, potentially unlocking trillions in tokenized real-world assets (RWA) and accelerating institutional adoption of crypto infrastructure.
