Iran called the US “armed pirates,” vowed retaliation, and refused negotiations after an Iranian ship was attacked.

Iran has sharply escalated its rhetoric, labeling the United States “armed pirates” and vowing retaliation after what it describes as an attack on an Iranian vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to state media, Iran has officially rejected new peace talks proposed by the US, citing “excessive demands, unrealistic expectations, constant shifts in stance, and the ongoing naval blockade” as violations of the ceasefire. Iran’s chief negotiator stated there is currently “no decision” to send a delegation to Pakistan.

This comes after President Trump accused Iran of “firing bullets” in the Strait yesterday, calling it a “Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement.” The fragile two-week ceasefire announced earlier this month now appears on the verge of collapse, with uncertainty hanging heavily over global oil flows through Hormuz.
