Trump stated he has instructed the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Daniel Caine, and the US military to stand down for now, while remaining fully prepared for a large-scale assault if a satisfactory agreement is not achieved.
